Every student should embrace who they are,

KNOWN BY NAME
Twelve students to a class, on average. A teacher notices a bad week before a parent has to report one.
EVERY LAB, EVERY WEEK
No child is tracked into "the science kid" or "the artist" at six. All seven labs, all eleven years.
TWO LANGUAGES
Mandarin or Spanish from 3K, in a neighborhood where most families already speak more than one.
HISTORY
Thirty years, one block.
The school grew the way its students do: a grade at a time, a lab at a time.

Founded in Flushing
Opens with a single early-childhood classroom on 35th Avenue.
- 2001
Kindergarten through 2nd grade
Families ask to stay. The school adds a grade each year.
- 2006
The first lab
A science bench and a shop table share one room. The seven-lab model begins here.
- 2010
Two languages from 3K
Mandarin and Spanish become part of every child's week.
- 2014
Media Arts Lab opens
Cameras, an edit suite, and the first student film festival.
- 2019
First 8th grade graduates
Eleven years under one roof, start to finish.

Today
Seven labs, 3K–8th, and a Saturday program open to the neighborhood.
