EARLY CHILDHOOD
Early Childhood
Starting school brings new routines, friendships, and things to discover. Play, stories, drawing, and hands-on activities are part of our early childhood classrooms.
THE DAY
The day includes classroom activities, outdoor play, and an afternoon rest period.
LITERACY
Stories, songs, and early phonics introduce children to reading and language.
Learning through play
Drawing, puzzles, and other hands-on activities let children explore, practice, and share ideas.
FAMILIES
Teachers send a weekly note to families. Conferences take place in November and March.
KINDERGARTEN – 8THIn the classroom
K–8
Kindergarten through 8th
Students build on their reading, writing, and number skills as they move through the grades. Classroom lessons and projects give them opportunities to think independently and work with others.
THE DAY
The schedule combines core subjects and project work. From fifth grade, students have subject teachers and an advisory group.
MATHEMATICS
Students progress from number skills to fractions, algebra, and geometry. Chess also offers practice in planning and problem-solving.
Creative work
Art, media, and performance give students different ways to develop and share their ideas.
ASSESSMENT
Families receive narrative reports each trimester. Letter grades begin in fifth grade.
CAPSTONE & HIGH SCHOOL
Eighth graders complete a year-long project. High-school placement guidance begins in seventh grade.
LANGUAGES · FROM 3K
Learning another language
Students study English alongside Mandarin or Spanish. Contact the school to discuss the language options and instruction for your child’s grade.
