PROGRAMS · AFTER-SCHOOL, SUMMER & FREE

Open past three o'clock.

Clubs after school, six weeks of summer, and Saturday programs that cost nothing and are open to the whole neighborhood.

AFTER-SCHOOL

Six clubs, one a day.

Every club is run by the lab it belongs to, by the teacher who teaches it in the day. 3:00 to 6:00, with homework help and snack first.

SUMMER · SIX WEEKS

A different thing built every week.

July and the first week of August, 9:00 to 3:00, open to students from any school. Each week ends with the thing finished and shown.

  1. WEEK 1Build a boat that floats (and carries a brick)
  2. WEEK 2Shoot a two-minute film
  3. WEEK 3Code a game, then play-test it on the 3rd floor
  4. WEEK 4Stage a ten-minute play
  5. WEEK 5Map Flushing: interviews, photos, a zine
  6. WEEK 6Kitchen chemistry and the end-of-summer bake
